Shannon Orcutt – Banjo

Shannon is a banjo player and singer out of Chesterfield, VA living in the DC area off and on for a decade. She got her start singing in a number of jazz and chamber choirs but feels most at home surrounded by Americana and roots music. Shannon developed her passion for banjo and finding harmonies while living in East Africa as a member of the Only Bluegrass Band in Uganda and a capella community choir Kampala Voices. She can often be found whitewater kayaking, climbing, and playing at different jams and open mics around DC.
